Eligibility: | Purpose: To recognize the graduate student judged to have the top dissertation in physics in the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan. Open to graduating PhD students who have successfully defended their dissertations. Students must have their dissertations recommended by the Examining Committee to the Graduate Affairs Committee. Selection will be based upon the dissertation judged by the Award Committee to be the top in that academic year. In any given academic year, if there are no eligible PhD candidates for this prize, the Awards Committee may consider recommendations from the Examining Committee for the top Master's theses that have been successfully defended in that year. For the purposes of this award, the academic year will include students in the Fall and subsequent Spring convocations." |
