Canada Graduate Scholarships - Master's Program (CGS-M)

Tri-Agency is the umbrella term used to describe the three Canadian government scholarship funding agencies:

  • Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
  • Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)

The objective of the Canada Graduate Scholarships - Master’s (CGSM) program is to help develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.

The College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies distributes the reminders that the call is opening in early fall annually. Students are encouraged to attend one of the many workshops offered leading up to the deadlines to ensure that their scholarship application is ready to submit.
