Bob and Rita Mirwald Travel Award

Value: A maximum of $5,000 towards international travel or a maximum of $2,500 for North American travel.
Number offered: 1 or 2
Eligibility: Purpose: This award is to provide financial support for Kinesiology graduate students studying in the area of child growth and development who are traveling to present a paper or a poster at an academic related conference, or for travel for other formal academic study approved by the student's graduate faculty advisor.

The applicant must be enrolled in a Masters or PhD program, studying in the area of child growth and development, and presenting a paper or a poster at an academic related conference, academic competition, or for travel for other formal academic experiences, and must be in good academic standing.
Apply: The applicant must provide the following:
  • a statement outlining the current status of their course work and research activities. The statement must demonstrate the corresponding merits of their proposed travel plans related to their course of study.
  • A letter of support from their faculty advisor.
