COGECO Graduate Communications Scholarship

Value: Approx. $20,000 (The specific annual amount will be determined by the Selection Committee, based on the financial resources available.) This scholarship is renewable at the discretion of the Awards Committee.

Eligibility: The objective of this award is to support graduate students whose research is related to virtually any area of media communications such as, but not limited to, the sociology of mass media, regulatory economics, educational applications or broadcast technology, and advanced telecommunications engineering.

The scholarship is open to students in any college pursuing a graduate degree in an area of research that relates to media communications and the design, development, application, administration, or distribution of broadcasting and communications technology. Students must be enrolled in or admitted to a full-time research degree program of study in the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies.
Donor: This award is made possible through the generosity of Cogeco Cable Inc. COGECO Inc. established the COGECO Graduate Communications Scholarship to address the need for greater knowledge and improved understanding of all aspects of broadcasting and media communications.
