Harvey Graduate Scholarship

Description: To recognize academic achievement of graduate students who through their research and program of study are contributing to the development of agriculture in Saskatchewan.
Value: To be determined by the Awards Committee. This award is renewable if eligibility requirements are met.
Eligibility: Open to students entering or continuing studies in a Master's (may be tenable up to 24 months) or Doctoral (may be tenable up to 36 months) program whose thesis research contributes to the development of agriculture in Saskatchewan as determined by the Award Committee.
Only students entering their first, second or third year of graduate study (Master's or Doctoral) are eligible to apply for the Harvey Graduate Scholarship. Students entering their fourth year of studies are not eligible for this award.
Master students are eligible to hold up to a maximum of 2 years of funding. Doctoral students are eligible to hold up to a maximum of 3 years of funding.
Students applying must have a minimum grade point average of 80%.

Application Procedure: A complete application should include:
  • Cover letter from the applicant (include your student number and/or NSID);
  • An outline of no more than 500 words describing the proposed research program;
  • A list of your publications and presentations, using the forms found here (click on the Faculty, Staff & Postdoctoral Fellows tab and use the Deanís Scholarship - Publications/Presentations template form)
  • One letter of recommendation from the thesis supervisor or an individual familiar with the studentís academic work;
  • A photocopy of your transcripts from all secondary institutions attended, other than the University of Saskatchewan
