University of Saskatchewan Graduate Teaching Fellowships

Description: Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTF) are available in most University of Saskatchewan departments. They are available to fully-qualified, full-time students who meet the academic requirements of the award. GTF holders provide service in the form of demonstrating, leading tutorials, teaching, marking, etc. up to 12 hours per week for the September to April period.
Value: Approximately $13,000 for the September to April session. Continuing students who meet eligibility requirements will receive a Summer Scholarship for the following May to August period of $4,000. Annual value: approximately $17,000.
Eligibility: Graduate Students must be registered full-time, fully qualified in a graduate program and have a GPA of at least 80% in the last two years of completed study, with required background, knowledge and training in field in which service is required.
Application Procedure: GTF awards are allocated by departments and colleges in which graduate programs are offered. New and continuing students should inform the Graduate Chair of the unit, in writing, as early as possible of their interest in being considered for a GTF, providing full information and documentation on their ability to carry out the required service.
