Saskatchewan Gerontology Association Bursary

Description: The Saskatchewan Gerontology Association Bursary is awarded annually to a Canadian graduate student whose program of study is based on or shall be based on some aspect of Gerontology.

Value: $500 per annum, renewable once

Eligibility: Students need to demonstrate commitment to graduate studies in some aspect of Gerontology (critical factor). Past experience in Gerontology is an asset (contribuiting factor). The student must be in need of financial assistance, be registered as a full-time or part-time, fully-qualified student in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan and have an acceptable academic record. The Selection Committee shall consist of two professors appointed by the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research or his/her designate plus one representative named by the Saskatchewan Gerontology Association.

Application Procedure: Application in the form of a letter should be made to the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research. The applicant should indicate why she or he feels qualified for this bursary and should outline her or his career goals and or research objectives, especially in so far as they apply to the study of Gerontology.
