COGECO Graduate Communications Scholarship

COGECO Inc. established the COGECO Graduate Communications Scholarship to address the need for greater knowledge and improved understanding of all aspects of broadcasting and media communications. Its objective is to support graduate students whose research is related to virtually any area of media communications such as, but not limited to, the sociology of mass media, regulatory economics, educational applications or broadcast technology, and advanced telecommunications engineering.

Eligibility:
|
The scholarship is open to students in any college pursuing a graduate degree in an area of research that relates to media communications and the design, development, application, administration, or distribution of broadcasting and communications technology. Students must be enrolled in or admitted to a full-time research degree program of study in the College of Graduate Studies and Research.
Selection criteria:
demonstrated academic excellence
research potential and aptitude; and
relevance of current research.

Application Procedure:

Interested candidates may apply, in the form of a letter, to the Director of Graduate Awards and Scholarships in the College of Graduate Studies and Research. Application letters should indicate why a candidate feels he/she is qualified, as well as describe the candidate's current research and past accomplishments as these relate to the broadcast and communications field. Applicants should include two letters of reference from individuals who can comment on their work and research potential. Please indicate your student number in the application package; this will speed up the process in processing your application.
