Dr. Roger Rimmer Award for Excellence in Graduate Research

Description:
|
SaskCanola will provide financial assistance to graduate students pursuing studies related to the development, production, market development or utilization of canola at the University of Saskatchewan.
|
|
Value:
|
$18,000 each. The number of awards is determined by SaskCanola each year and will be based on the review of the documents submitted to determine thesis programs suitable to SaskCanola.
|
|
Eligibility:
|
Open to students entering or continuing studies in a M.Sc. or Ph.D. program at the University of Saskatchewan whose thesis project deals with either an important aspect of the development or utilization of canola as determined by the Board of SaskCanola. In no instance may a student hold a scholarship for more than two years.
Students wishing to have their scholarship renewed for a second year must submit a research progress report and a letter from the thesis supervisor evaluating the student’s academic performance to date. (See mailing instructions below)

Application Procedure:

A complete application must include the following:
Cover letter from the applicant,
Curriculum Vitae (CV),
an outline of the proposed research program (max. 1000 words),
an official set of transcripts (only if other than the U of S), and
one letter of recommendation from the thesis supervisor or an individual familiar with the students academic work.
